Future Reading for Weeks 9 and 10

For the next two weeks I think that I will want to read Myths of the Cherokee and California and the Old Southwest stories. I am excited to see how their creation stories are similar and different from each other. I chose the Cherokee because I am in Native American Music right now, and have found the Cherokee a very interesting tribe to study. I also really want to read the story about the Otter's coat getting stolen by the rabbit.

I chose California and the Old Southwest because their stories seemed enough different from the cherokee. I am interested to read about the floods from this particular one. They have a lot about coyotes, so I think it will be interesting to see how their culture is involved with this particular animal.

Week 8: Blog Ideas For the Future

This week when I was looking at other people's blogs I really enjoyed the ones that had light colors that made me think of spring. Ally and Adrienne both had lighter colors, and their blogs just had a happy feel. I also really liked the bolder look of Sarah's blog. It made the white text really stand out, and drew your eyes to want to read the text. I may want to add more of a contrast between my posts and the background to really draw people to the stories, and other things I have posted.

Week 8: Time Management

This semester has been particularly laid back for me most weeks. I only have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays so I have more free time than I usually would. I do have an internship on Tuesdays and Thursdays that takes up my mornings, but by getting it done in the morning it leaves my afternoons free to do homework. I like how my schedule is set up on Mondays and Wednesdays because I have two hours between each class, so this leaves me time to get smaller assignments done. I find it easy to get my reading for the week done between my classes. I think I will start utilizing extra credit opportunities coming up because as the semester goes on I can feel myself getting lazy and my motivation dwindling.
